Birthdays and Anniversaries

Happy One Year Anniversary OBC Newsletter Ministry! I can hardly believe it has been one full year already. It seems like only yesterday when Sis. Marina and I were having our first newsletter ministry meeting discussing the details of the newsletter. It has been a pleasure and a blessed experience being a part of this ministry and working with Sis. Marina. This ministry has grown in quality throughout the year. I look forward to another blessed year with this ministry.

Going forward I pray that all the ministries at OBC will contribute to the newsletter. We are here to help spread the word about the ministries to everyone we can through the OBC newsletter. Each ministry at Oakland is doing a good work for the LORD, why not share that with the rest of us? The OBC Newsletter ministry is here to serve and we would like to spread the Word.

Love BIG, Sis. Tarsha Sitton

WOW - It doesn’t seem like a whole 12 months has passed since we published our first OBC newsletter. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I have worked with Sis. Sitton in the publishing, editing, and creative thoughts of each month’s newsletter. We work well as a team and I have gained a friend during this process. I also thank her family for their patience and support while we worked together to produce the final product! I also appreciate Tarease Dixon for providing us with the pictorial side of the newsletter. She has been a great resource! I’d also like to thank Sis. Hayes and Deacon Parrish for their keen eye and providing us the final review. Lastly, I’d like to thank Pastor Hayes for providing The Pastor’s Pen article each month focusing on a different topic to guide and encourage us in Christ!

I believe that we all have a gift (s) given to us by God. The reason I signed up to produce this newsletter is because of the calling I received to spread the Good News through written word to reach not only our OBC body but our community. My prayer is that the OBC body would contribute more to this ministry. We are only as good as the submissions we receive. Our church body produces daily and weekly ministry support, witness testimonies, or supplies support to the fallen. We’d like to know and share that information to the masses. Someone’s story can be another’s blessing! We aren’t asking for it to be elaborately written, because we can “doctor” it up; all we need is the concept….

I have enjoyed the accolades and kudos on the production of this newsletter and enjoy watching it grow!

May God Bless You and thank you for reading! Love in Christ, Marina Stonewall
